Job Descriptions

  President
  1. Supervise and provide direction for the affairs of the Society. 
  2. Preside at meetings.
  3. Coordinate and preside at meetings with Officers and Board Members.
  4. Sign all instruments of the Authorization as authorized.
  5. Review and approve reports.
  6. Appoint, direct and review Committees.
  7. Direct and approve financial aspects of the Society.
  8. Be the Liaison of KHEA to KHA and ASHE
  9. Serve as Program Chairman.
   
  President-Elect
  1. Preside at meetings in the absence of the President.
  2. Attend/participates in annual planning sessions.
  3. Attends ASHE Chapter Leadership Conference
  4. Supports the needs of the organization as needed and assigned.
   
  Secretary
  1. Attend, record and distribute (reads) the minutes of all Society meetings.
  2. Maintains communication with KHA for up-to-date rosters of members.
  3. Provide a record keeping system for all historical records.
  4. Support the administrative needs of the State Society as needed.
  5. See to the publishing of the newsletter.
   
  Treasurer
  1. Attend Society meetings.
  2. Maintain financial records of the Society.
  3. Maintains communication with KHA for up-to-date financial information. 
  4. He/she will perform the duties involving money, both the collection and    disbursement. 
  5. Support the administrative needs of the State Society as needed.
   
  Board Member
  1. Attend all Society meetings.
  2. Represent the interest of the majority of the membership in their district.
  3. Support the administrative needs of the State Society as needed.
  4. Serve on committees appointed and make decisions to ensure the viability of the Society.
   
  Audit Committee
  Review the Treasurers records annually and prior to the assumption of office by new treasurer.
   
  Membership Committee
  Publicize the activities of the Society and solicit appropriate and qualified members to the society. Communicate with KHA for mailings and dues collection.
   
  Scholarship Committee
  Disbursement of funds with prior approval of the Board of Directors. Maintain four ($250 dollar scholarships for members and direct family members). Judge written articles.
   
  Program Committee
  Plan and implement the spring and fall conferences, which stimulate the interest of the members of the Society.
